The Administrator is responsible for the overall operations and facility management of Labouré Residence, the infirmary/retirement home of the Daughters of Charity. The Administrator position supports the care of elderly and recuperating Sisters by ensuring a high standard of compassionate, client-centered nursing care
Must understand and support the mission of the Daughters of Charity and Vincentian Values as stated in the Seton Employee Handbook
Must possess personal qualities of integrity, respect and compassion for others, good judgment, and good communication skills
Must have a valid California Driver’s License and maintain a good driving record
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
The Administrator must have a bachelor’s degree in a behavioral science or health care administration, and/or certification in an area of geriatric care administration.
Must have at least five years at the executive level with progressively responsible management positions and demonstration of success
Must have experience working in a senior care facility

Ability to provide leadership, development, and direction to staff in providing excellent care to senior and infirmed residents
Ability to take initiative with minimal supervision and work independently
Possess excellent team development and leadership skills

Strong time management skills
Oversees the daily operations of Labouré Residence to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all residents
Delegates appropriate authority to direct reports for programs and services in an atmosphere of collegiality, collaboration, and accountability
Ensures that the Vincentian Values (Respect, Compassionate Service, Simplicity, Advocacy, and Inventiveness to infinity) are integrated into employee orientation, training, and evaluations
Provides administrative support to staff to ensure a high standard of compassionate care that includes a variety of appropriate social, physical, and spiritual activities
Ensures that the dietary department is in compliance with health and safety standards while providing a nutritious diet based on individual needs and preferences
Oversees the implementation of personnel policies and practices
Ensures that written systems are in place to promote safety for employees, quality nursing services and food services, upkeep of furnishings, and safety of equipment
Responsible for implementing the Fire, Disaster and Earthquake Plans for Labouré Residence and documenting annual training of all employees
Conducts monthly and as needed management meetings, assigns responsibilities, and provides required reports
Collaborates in the development of the annual budget for Labouré Residence
Hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates direct reports and ensures that all employees receive appropriate staff development trainings and annual performance appraisals
All other duties as assigned
