The Children's Hospital of San Antonio, established in 1959, was the first children's hospital in South-Central Texas. Located downtown, this 190-plus-bed hospital serves more than 70,000 children annually from San Antonio, South Texas and around the world. Our highly specialized services meet the unique medical needs of children, from Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care to Children's Emergency Services, the latest treatments for deformities of the spine including titanium rib implants and halo traction, a Heart Center, a specialized asthma program, a highly regarded Cancer and Blood Disorders Center, and growing maternal services to include consultation, delivery, and maternal fetal medicine.
This position reports to the Central Services Director. The Central Supply Team Lead will provide System organization and supervisory direction for distribution and inventory processes within CS department, to include servicing clinical and ancillary department requests within facility. Responsibilities include oversight on the distribution and storage of supplies, maintenance of work flow assessments, assisting Central Services Director with Human Resource Management, quality assurance, Associate satisfaction, and contract implementation. This position will collaborate with the Central Services Director and the System Director of Supply Chain Management to accomplish the duties and processes outlined. .
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Basic computer knowledge
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Must have good communication skills in order to interact with Physicians, Nurses, and others.
Three to five years of experience in a Central Service or Materials Management environment required.
