The Manager of Accounts Receivable will perform all assigned job tasks to the highest level of customer service and assistance to their Team, internal and external customers. The Leader will act as a role model while supporting, developing, and managing staff in the spirit of collaboration. The manager will coach supervisors and PBS Team in a manner that will prove favorable revenue cycle outcomes. The Leader will represent the interests of PBS in cross-departmental meetings and exercise good judgment and decision-making.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job
Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
Provide professional and courteous service to all customers.
Maintain a clean, well-organized, properly stocked, and secure working area as well as ensure that assigned Teams’ areas are to best support the work.
Maintain complete patient/employer confidentiality per company and HIPAA requirements.
AR performance at or better than assigned department goals and MGMA standards.
Maintenance of adequate productivity and quality assurance of work for all staff at or above the department standards.
Ensure that our PBS Team / Department is viewed as a valuable resource by both our internal and external customers.
Continued improvement and reduction in post-claim-processing denials through Lean thinking and application of countermeasures.
Complete documentation of all inter-departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
Ensure that the specialty lines of services revenue cycle needs are met through appropriate measurement
Initiate problem solving to address specialty areas’ revenue cycle challenges through partnerships with other areas or clients.
Provide payer and specialty area analysis as well as lead specialty focus groups to ensure specialty collection results are favorable
