DescriptionAssociate IT Business Analyst - VICTR
JOB SUMMARY
The Associate IT Business Analyst supports business needs and stakeholder management under some guidance. Collects business requirements on projects and defines business and change processes. Help guide external stakeholders in improving processes, products, services and software through data analysis. Bridge the gap between IT and stakeholders to help improve efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides leadership, expertise and guidance on strategic business change projects.
- Provides business analysis on projects including engagement and stakeholder management.
- Leads business change and defines business requirements and processes on projects.

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES
Bridge the gap between IT and project business using data analytics. (FUNDAMENTAL AWARENESS)
- Liaise between customers, product owners, developers, stakeholders and project managers to assist in finding better solutions and improving processes, products, services and software through data analysis.
- Create and facilitate efficient and cost-effective solutions, and analyze systems specifications to meet business/project requirements.
- Organize and facilitate overall release and sprint planning - including daily standups, reviews/demos, and retrospectives of systems development life cycle (SDLC) in accordance with Agile framework.
- Has participated in basic requirements analysis. Helps collect business requirements and prepare business specifications.
Use data-driven changes to improve efficiencies. (FUNDAMENTAL AWARENESS)
- Engage with project leaders and users to understand how data-driven changes to process, products, services, software and hardware can improve efficiencies and add value.
- Assess processes, determine requirements and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to project managers.
- Has experience in one or more of the lines of business. Is familiar with the competition. Has light experience, training, direct exposure, or past experience working with Business Requirements Definition tasks.
Define critical project activities for systems analysis and design, quality assurance and/or applications testing to meet project objectives. (FUNDAMENTAL AWARENESS)
- Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on changes requested by clients or stakeholders and completed by developers to verify that all requirements have been met.
- Facilitate and document meetings between stakeholders and developers to generate solutions for requested changes.
- Managed business requirement documents, use cases, product backlogs, sprint backlogs and create user stories.
- Protect team from over-commitment by creating weekly and biweekly reports providing updates and status of work requests submitted by tracking work request progress.
- Familiar with the steps necessary to complete a Business Requirements Definition for simple systems for systems analysis and design, quality assurance and/or applications testing. Knowledge of the nature, contents and techniques of feasibility studies and cost/benefit analyses.
Report data trends that apply and add value to project. (FUNDAMENTAL AWARENESS)
- Pull, analyze and report data trends, and be able to share that information with stakeholders to apply it on the business side and add project value.
- Use appropriate software tools to collect and sort data, create graphs, write documents and design visualizations to explain the findings.
- Use real-time user data and analytics programs to identify user trends, successful functions and potential user adoption problems with project applications.
- Possess a general understanding of how data management systems, products and tools work.
- Engage with data warehouse management solutions to help create WMS events to for tracking.
- Has written a section of a feasibility study or cost/benefit analysis. Has assisted in the preparation of the various worksheets and summary reports.
