OverviewSt. Louis Children’s Hospital is dedicated to improving the health and lives of children. Preferred QualificationsRole Purpose
Overall responsibility for the multidisciplinary staff of the pediatric specialty center including responsibility for the Operating Room, Imaging, PAWS, Therapy, Lab, and Pharmacy, Guest Services, Safety Stop, Child Life, Psychology, Audiology, Infusion, EEG, leased medical offices and other services as assigned. Including the accountability for the quality of care patients receive, performance of the personnel under their supervision, and cost effective operation of each department. This also includes assuring that all patients, family and visitors receive a high level of attention and prompt, courteous service and working with SLCH resources to continuously improve service in each clinical discipline. The Director is responsible for coordinating all services and assuring the patient flow is optimized. Also responsible for providing leadership through positive role modeling of SLCH mission and Washington University School of Medicine core values. Also responsible for the direction of the BJC HealthCare Call Center and through telephone and internet vehicles, expanding consumer and physician access to BJC's hospitals and corporate services lines.
Responsibilities
- Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
- Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
- Directs overall operations and sets strategic direction of ambulatory care services and related programs and services.
- Prioritizes and implements quality monitoring, regulatory compliance, and reporting for outpatient and ambulatory needs.
- Measures and monitors patient satisfaction, process indicators, quality improvement plans and outcomes in all departments.

Minimum Requirements
- Master's Degree in Business or Healthcare related field
- 5-10 years of experience
- 2-5 years of supervisor experience
