Job Summary
This position is responsible for leading and guiding CareOregon’s Shared Accountability Model (SAM) programs to help ensure an effective and integrated delivery process focused on health outcomes. The position works closely with the Value Based Contracting team and also collaborates with regional and line of business leadership, population health, actuarial services, and Network and Clinical Support teams.
Essential Responsibilities
- Develop meeting materials for Joint Operating Committee (JOC) meetings to support SAM and risk share models.
- Develop agendas for Shared Accountability Model meetings.
- Develop and maintain data-sharing, meeting, and contract calendars to support existing SAM and risk share models.
- Collaborate with actuarial team and external actuarial consultants on data-sharing and financial reporting to support SAM and risk share models.
- Collaborate with Network and Clinical Services (NCS) team to support development and measurement of quality within SAM and risk share models.
- Develop and ensure necessary content is reflected in the Provider Guide for SAM model, among other supporting tools and materials.
- Support collaboration with IS and NCS for development and delivery of enhanced financial reporting for SAM and risk share models.
- Monitor and support value based contracting reporting regulatory requirements in partnership with the Finance team.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Ability to identify and anticipate issues and act proactively to formulate plans and recommendations
- Strong ability to manage multiple activities, organization communications, and competing priorities
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Understanding of value based contracting
- Understanding of shared risk models
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to develop and maintain excellent professional working relationships with internal staff and departments and external stakeholders
- Ability to work with diverse individuals and groups
Education and/or Experience
Required:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience required in program, project, or operations administration; experience should include independent leadership of small, medium and large complex projects and leading enterprise-wide, complex projects
- Minimum 1 year experience in the health care industry
Preferred:
- Experience in risk modeling, contracting, network partnership, or related work
- Experience in health plan operations
- Experience with Medicare, Medicaid or other government healthcare programs
