The Manager of Volunteer Services for Baylor Scott and White Health (BSWH) provides management of a comprehensive volunteer service program to include the recruitment, training and placement of volunteers. The Manager also develops and implements goals and objectives for the volunteer program which reflects the mission of Baylor Scott and White Health.
In addition, the Manager of Volunteer Services for BSWH has the following responsibilities:· Supervises departmental personnel and volunteers to include recruitment, reviewing and prioritizing department requests for volunteers, scheduling, training, counseling, evaluation, recruitment, and problem resolution.
· Plans, develops, manages and implements volunteer services and programs to assist departments in the delivery of quality healthcare to the community. Fosters a positive working relationship between staff and volunteers.
· Determines departmental resources requirements and ensures the efficient use of resources; prepares departmental budget; administers and coordinates fund raising activities.
· Develops, administers, and reviews policies and procedures which guide the volunteer programs and services, improves volunteer services and operations, and reflect the overall values of the organization.
· Develops and implements standard orientation, training and recognition programs for volunteers. Plans and implements volunteer recruitment and retention programs.
· Establishes and maintains relationships with community leaders, community-based organizations, and corporate sponsors to support the volunteer services program.
· Evaluates the activities of individual programs to ensure potential liabilities resulting from volunteer activities are minimized and to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to volunteer services. Investigates and resolves complaints and/or issues pertaining to staff or services provided.
· Develops and maintains a database of volunteer programs. Prepare reports and analyses reflecting progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.

· Knowledge of the philosophy and practices of volunteerism.
· Knowledge of current trends, resources and information related to volunteerism
· Verbal and written communication skills.
· Interpersonal skills to interact with a wide range of constituencies.
· Organizational and presentational skills.
· Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
· Ability to develop and maintain effective collaborative relationships.
· Ability to plan, develop, and implement recruitment strategies.
· Ability to train, motivate, and supervise employees.

EDUCATION - Bachelors or Equivalent Exp
