Provides support during the review, development, and implementation of revenue capture systems. Serves as a financial lead for professional revenue recognition and analytics, and synthesizes information for new program/service design. Maintains full understanding of commonly-used workflows, concepts, practices, and procedures within a dynamic healthcare field. Utilizes extensive experience, creativity and judgment to plan, execute, and accomplish goals in a timely fashion. Shows flexibility to perform a variety of tasks as they present themselves.
Establishes and streamlines charge capture processes.
Assists in developing, preparing, and delivering front-end charge capture process (revenue recognition) flow documentation for all applications.
Works in conjunction with other areas of financial reporting to manage professional net revenue functions within the department to include timely revenue recognition flow, revenue maximization, payer analysis, and monthly reporting.
Partners with appropriate staff to ensure appropriate valuation of accounts receivable, as well as accuracy of monthly professional net revenue reporting and variance analysis.
Provides oversight to the above functions within financial reporting, and understands how the functions inter-relate to Revenue Management, Operations, and Institute Financial Management.
Participates in monthly Revenue Cycle Operations Team (RCOT) meetings for understanding and input of any revenue initiatives within the institutes.
Collaborates with operations, revenue management, and financial management departments to formulate improvement strategies and approaches for recognizing revenue.
Represents financial reporting as it relates to revenue integration and reconciliation for new providers and new departments.
Partners with Revenue Integrity to resolve outstanding revenue recognition items in a timely manner.
Utilizes Six Sigma techniques and acts as a change agent to influence and enable a culture of continued improvement in revenue recognition.
Facilitates multidisciplinary improvement teams, gathers data, performs research, completes analytics, and compiles best practice information while providing project and program management for financial and operational leadership achievement of transformational strategic and tactical project results.
