POSITION SUMMARY

The Mid-Atlantic Association of Community Health Centers (MACHC)'s Project Manager, Workforce Initiatives, supports MACHC's leadership team by developing and executing project plans to ensure the successful implementation of strategic goals.  The Project Manager is a critical thinker who can conceptualize the project completion process from start to finish while identifying and leveraging resources.  The Project Manager will primarily lead and be a subject matter expert in MACHC's initiatives to improve health center employee recruitment and retention.  The Project Manager is also expected to lead projects in other areas such as quality improvement and emergency preparedness.  The Project Manager will develop and execute MACHC's external stakeholder partnership outreach strategies and initiatives to continually develop workforce pipelines and support interest in a new MACHC Career Center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
• Provides support, analysis, and technical assistance to MACHC on issues impacting health centers' ability to recruit, retain and develop a well-trained, highly-skilled, diverse, culturally competent health center workforce.
• Conducts self-directed research to obtain a working knowledge of key topics for new assignments.
• Synthesizes learnings to share with the MACHC team to inform initiative advancement.
• Develops talking points to inform messaging to membership.
• Plans agendas and produces materials for the Workforce Advisory member workgroup.
• Writes concise, action-oriented meeting summaries and uses quantitative and qualitative analytical skills to effectively summarize member surveys, literature reviews, and other research projects.
• Leads external stakeholder partnership outreach efforts.  Devises and executes strategies to engage state and local government agencies, associations, and educational institutions such as universities, community colleges, and vocational-technical schools to address health center workforce shortages.
• Coordinates with the MACHC team to update web content and develop resources for health centers.
• Uses Excel to organize center participation in MACHC initiatives, survey data, and other workforce-related assignments.
• Solves complex problems in collaboration with MACHC's internal team, health center members, and external stakeholders.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

• Five to seven years of experience leading and managing projects.  Previous experience in consulting, at a health center, and/or in human resources is preferred, but not required.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and cultivate partnerships with external stakeholders.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with project goals.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and ability to learn CANVA for slide presentations.
