DescriptionJob Summary
Manages multiple and simultaneous projects related to the USNWR annual survey as well as organizational participation in other national surveys managed by the Quality and Process Improvement departments.
Job Specific Duties
- Manages Quality and Process Improvement projects and project teams including creating and executing project work plans to deliver the agreed business outcomes - primary focus of work is on USWR annual survey.
- Identifies needs and defines major tasks and milestones based on scope, resources, budget, and personnel.
- Revises work plan as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements while ensuring engagement with stakeholders to identify & track benefits.
- Identifies all key project stakeholder & interdependencies and tightly manages to increase success of project delivery.
- Establishes project quality standards, monitors project status, and maintains project plans on schedule.
- Identifies and develops plans to reduce risk throughout the project.
- Manages the financial aspects of the implementations including, monitoring projects costs and communicating costs against budget to clients.
- Ensures commitments (both contractual and non-contractual) are met.
- Prepares reports for review by managerial and other leaders to provide status updates and other information related to projects.
- Delivers engaging, informative, and well organized meetings.
- Creates and maintains project documentation as required by the Quality and Process Improvement departments standards.
QualificationsMinimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, Finance or related field
- 1-3 years of experience in direct project management including implementation of quality improvement plans
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- 1-3 years of healthcare experience preferred.
- PMP or CAPM highly preferred.
- Able to deliver projects within scope, budget and schedule.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Excellent planning capabilities and strong experience of working with planning tools.
- Self-starter and self-motivated.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills.
- Highly skilled in consulting with clients to ascertain and define need or problem area and determine scope of investigation required obtaining solution.
- Practical experience with systems development and implementation life cycles, specifically of complex systems.
- Able to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
