Akron Children's Hospital has been caring for children since 1890, and our pediatric specialties are ranked among the nation's best by U.S. News & World Report. With two hospital campuses, regional health centers and more than 50 primary and specialty care locations throughout Ohio, we're making it easier for today's busy families to find the high-quality care they need. In 2020, our health care system provided more than 1.1 million patient encounters. We also operate neonatal and pediatric units in the hospitals of our regional health care partners. Summary:

Talent Development Specialist leads the development, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of employee, leadership, and department needs that support HR and organization strategies to enhance workforce excellence across the organization.

Responsibilities:

1. Leads the development, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of employee, leadership, and department needs that support HR strategies and workforce excellence across the organization.
2. Promotes the organization by actively participating in the employee development process to promote employee development, enhance work force development processes, and implement interventions that build organizational and individual capabilities with future forward thinking.
3. Serves as internal performance management coach for managers and staff.
4. Develops employee measures to gauge the success of programs. Collaborates with the Manager of Talent Development in development of future development programs for both clinical and non-clinical employees, in order to maintain proficiency of current leaders in the organization and to develop future leaders.
5. Other duties as required.
