Position Summary
We are looking for a highly-skilled and effective Proposal Writer to join our team to enrich the quality of donor content. The person in this role will write and edit copy for multiple channels, that appeal to our donors, convey the need for and impact of support, and express gratitude. As an integral member of the Donor Stewardship and Engagement Team within the Phoenix Children’s Foundation, responsibilities will include conducting research, proofreading, and editing, and creating new content such as: proposals, impact reports, custom letters, scripts, and other donor focused content. Seeking someone with a keen eye for detail, a positive can-do attitude, and a dynamic team player. If you are an experienced content and copy writer, can work independently and as part of a team, and are looking to be part of a fast-paced environment where you can make an impact on the lives of children, we encourage you to apply. Working in close collaboration with leadership, the Sr Specialist develops and implements all aspects of multiple programs that align with hospital’s mission and support the Foundation’s goals. Working independently, the Sr Specialist may be in charge of overseeing program/project execution that could include staffing, volunteers, budget and fundraising goals from start to finish. This position may also be responsible for special events that publicize the organization and its programs to the community. Position may have direct and/or indirect oversight of lower-level staff members and/or volunteers.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience. (Required)
- Bachelor's degree in related field. (Preferred)
Experience
- 7 years of experience in related specialty. (Required)
- Project and/or program management experience. (Preferred)
- People management experience. (Preferred)
Special Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in a professional manner with a positive disposition. (Required)
- Excellent organizational abilities with acute attention to detail and multi-tasking. (Required)
- Knowledge and experience working with a variety of computer software. (Required)
- Self-motivated with a desire to exceed objectives. (Required)
- Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate occasional night and weekend activities. (Required)
