Your day.
As a Health Informaticist you need to know how to:
- Assist with electronic medical record (EMR) maintenance and optimization in joint venture with site end-users, directors, managers and IST analysts.
- Evaluate the workflow and Epic system integration and provide knowledge recommendation for enhancements and improvement.
- Provide communication of any changes in production, overall system upgrades or enhancements to ensure an effective flow of information through the organization.
- Builds collaborative relationships with clinical and ancillary areas to facilitate an integrated electronic medical record.
- Assess and identify risk and issues throughout all aspects of the EMR application.
- Evaluate EMR problems by completing a workflow observation and printing HIPAA compliant screen shots, completing a heat ticket, and submitting major request through the Informatics Leader.
- Research and provide analysis for other clinical applications as needed.
Your experience.
We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:
- Associate degree in Technology, Medical Insurance Billing and Coding, Health Information Management, Clinical field or 5 years relevant work experience, required. Relevant experience is defined as a minimum of 5 years of experience in Healthcare, Healthcare IT, Healthcare Training, Project management.
- Possess an Epic Certification or the ability to obtain Epic Certification designation within 6 months of employment.
- Must achieve Epic credentialed trainer status for clinical within 4 -6 months of hire.
- Bachelorâ™s degree, preferred
- EpicCare Ambulatory Certified, preferred
- Epic Cadence Certified, preferred
- Credentialed Dragon Trainer, preferred
- Experience developing training programs that relate to people of diverse backgrounds, training and experience preferred
