In compliance with applicable New York and New Jersey State regulatory authorities, COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine) is mandatory for all MSK employees, contingent workers, and volunteers. Exceptions are permitted for those employees who request and receive an approved medical or fully remote exemption.

*Staff working at a MSK New Jersey location must be up to date with COVID-19 vaccination, which includes having completed the primary COVID-19 vaccination series and booster once eligible as mandated by New Jersey State. All New Jersey staff not yet eligible for a booster must receive a booster within 3 weeks of becoming eligible as a condition of continued employment at MSK.

Note: Individuals are eligible to receive a COVID-19 booster five months after receiving the second dose of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or two months after the J&J vaccine.

Job Description

Interested in a fast paced and growing Hybrid Cloud Team? We build new platforms that serves as one of the core foundations for MSKCC's Digital Transformation Program. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to own contributions to our growing platform that is built on top of public cloud providers such as AWS and Azure.

We seek to provide an ecosystem that empowers our organization's development community and supports our various vendor solutions. We are looking for passionate experienced engineers with relevant skills to help us transform our on-premises infrastructure into modern scalable architectures by taking advantage of cloud technology.

You Are!

• Self-motivated with a consistent track record of developing scalable cloud solutions for large enterprise environments
• Capable of understanding sophisticated, multi-cloud workloads and developing robust, manageable solutions
• Willing and able to automate everything

You Will!

• Design, engineer and deliver advanced hybrid cloud platform and infrastructure features at a regular cadence on which development teams will construct cloud applications.
• Drive an automation-first approach when implementing our services and frameworks using infrastructure-as-code technologies like AWS CloudFormation, Azure ARM Templates and Terraform.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality cloud solutions, emphasizing security and operability while optimizing for development velocity and extensibility.
• Continuously improve the cloud platform by applying best practices and knowing the latest on industry trends and technology

You Have:

• 5+ years' experience developing AWS or Azure cloud infrastructure using IaC tools such as CloudFormation, ARM Templates or Terraform
• Comfortable developing against the provider's API using languages such as Python, Go, Node.js, or Java
• Developed PR-driven CI/CD pipelines using including Jenkins Pipeline, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.
• Experience working in large environments spanning multiple availability-zones, regions, accounts and providers
• Experience integrating cloud workloads with SaaS and on-premise/legacy applications
• Experience working on Agile teams
