Position Information:
The Manager of the WakeMed Milk Bank is responsible for the strategic vision, operating and financial outcomes, administrative management, and oversight of the Milk Bank. Leads the strategic planning process including identification and implementation of opportunities for growth of the Milk Bank. The Manager is responsible for the overall structure of the Milk Bank including maintaining standards and guidelines put forth by the Human Milk Banking Association of North America while integrating and adhering to the WakeMed mission, vision, and values. Serves as a liaison between the Milk Bank and internal and external customers. Forges internal and external partnerships as needed to support or advance the Milk Bank program and customer base. Identifies, develops and implements educational programs to meet the needs of hospital staff. Initiates outreach activities to promote the Milk Bank services.

Experience Requirements:
3 Years Clinical - Related Area Required - And 1 Year Leadership Preferred

Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree Related Field Required - And Master's Degree Related Field Preferred

Licensure/Certification Requirements:
International Board Certified Lactation Consultant Required - Within 1 Year of Hire

Hours of Work:
Monday - Friday, Day Shift

Weekend Requirements:
No Weekends
