JOB SUMMARY
The Training and Development Specialist in an active member of the Practice and Leadership Development (PLD) team providing teaching, facilitation, curriculum and materials design for training that supports WPMG business goals. The position also requires effective collaboration with other PLD team members on a variety of training and development programs and projects. The position will have increasing opportunities to participate in designing and delivering digital and virtual learning to support the objectives of the organization.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Description
- Coordinates and facilitates all aspects of new employee Welcome Day including but not limited to: partnering with Pre-boarding and KFHPWA colleagues, coordinating and communicating with new hires, providing program facilitation, acting as faculty liaison, overseeing the production of materials and slides and co-designing curriculum.
- Contributes to the design, teaching and facilitation of additional PLD course curriculum as needed.
- Partners with subject matter experts to identify target audience's learning needs.
- Identifies effective methods for assessing the outcomes of programs.
- Maintains current knowledge of adult learning principles, training modalities, training content and program efficacy.
- Serves as liaison between faculty, subject matter experts, and support staff in all aspects of production and delivery of curriculum and related materials; contributes to the planning, production, and publication of digital and print materials as needed.
- Develops, designs and edits online learning material, content and assessment tools.
- Implements online learning activities and programs.
- Designs, develops, and maintains program records and serves as an LMS Administrator as needed. Assists in the preparation of reports on learning activities and programs.
- Develops effective working relationships with PLD team members, KFHPWA colleagues, front line clinicians and leadership to support business objectives.
- Supports in any other administrative support as needed by the department and other duties as assigned including cross training.
- Must meet WPMG compliance and code of conduct standards.
- Meets all regulatory requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.

B.A. OR equivalent combination of experience and education in: Adult Learning, Instructional Design, Education, Psychology, Social Work, Health Education or related field.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 1-2 years' experience facilitating training for a professional audience; both in-person and virtual.
Experience in healthcare.
Experience in project management.
Experience in Adobe InDesign and Captivate, Articulate or other e-learning software.
Experience with videography and video editing.

Summary
Kaiser Permanente-Washington Permanente Medical Group- is seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) Training and Development Specialist to join our Practice, Leadership and Development team in Renton, Washington.
