Position Summary:
The Performance Improvement Specialist II is responsible for supporting MHS organizational performance through leadership of improvement activities that contribute to developing MHS leaders and their ability to succeed, in direct alignment with the MHS mission, vision, and key organizational priorities. The scope of this function will be in both the operations of business processes and clinical practice areas throughout MultiCare Health System. The goals of this position are to provide support to MHS leaders by improving day-to-day business and clinical operations, and apply mid-range tactical interventions which enable progress toward organizational strategies.Minimum Requirements:
Five years of facilitation, performance improvement experience or intermediate-level training required; or licensed RN with two years performance improvement experience
Training or experience facilitating rapid-cycle problem solving work sessions
Experience as team leader or team member on high visibility, highly complex, large scale initiatives preferred
Healthcare related experience preferred
One year internal or external consulting experience (formal or informal) including managing client engagements, defining client needs, delivering value to the client, and presenting/ reporting out preferred
Experience working in a multi-facility corporate environment preferred

Training in Lean, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints or other process efficiency-based improvement methodology required
