In this role, you will have the opportunity to evaluate, design, test, implement, upgrade, support and maintain the Data Innovations (DI) middleware that provides analyzer result information. DI consolidates information from analysers and other middlewares, performs complex rules on the information, and then passes the information to Epic.

Your day.

As an Epic Beaker DI Application Analyst you need to know how to:

• Build and maintain rules in the application, manipulate HL7 messages and interface with customers and other application analysts teams.


• Analyze and document user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems. Review system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations.


• Document workflows, configure and/or build activities, change management adherence, end user notifications, training information and status reporting in the appropriate system.


• Develop, document and revise system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards.


• Expand or modify system to serve new purposes or improve work flow. Coordinate and link the application within an organization to increase compatibility for information sharing.


• Review and analyze the system and performance indicators to locate problems, and correct errors. Escalate problems and issues to appropriate staff to ensure timely resolution.


• Coordinate projects, schedule and facilitate meetings as necessary to complete assignments.

Your experience.

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required


• Medical Laboratory Technology or Information Technology degree, preferred


• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in healthcare, technology, medical laboratory or related field, required


• Prior work experience as a high level/super user, preferred


• Data Innovations certification, required within nine (9) months of hire


• Obtaining additional Epic Proficiency or Certification may be required based on departmentâ™s operational need and at manager discretion
