Mount Sinai Hospital is seeking a Senior Director of Nursing, Oncology.  Mount Sinai includes eight hospital campuses in the New York metropolitan area, as well as a large, regional ambulatory footprint and the Icahn School of Medicine. The Mount Sinai Hospital has 1,134 beds. Cancer Care at The Mount Sinai Hospital offers a continuum of care before, during, and after cancer treatment. They integrate the latest research findings from studies conducted at Mount Sinai’s The Tisch Cancer Institute, a National Cancer Institute (NCI)-Designated Cancer Center.

Reporting to the VP of Nursing Operations and the Chief Nursing Officer of The Mount Sinai Hospital. The successful candidate for this position is responsible for planning and leadership for clinical, quality, administrative, and the advancement of patient experience.  The Senior Director will play a key role in designing and opening a new state-of-the-art cancer hospital within The Mount Sinai Hospital devoted to oncology. 

Requirements include:

• Master’s in Nursing required; Doctorate in Nursing preferred
• Nursing Administration, Advanced by American Nurses Association preferred
• Advanced Oncology Nursing Certification (AOCN ®) required
• Demonstrated competence in the management of a Nursing Services in an academic medical center, across the inpatient and ambulatory oncology
