OverviewAtlantic Health System is seeking a Full Time Certified Medical Assistant for Atlantic Medical Group's Breast Surgery in Summit, NJ Flexible to travel on occasion may be needed to Union.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions:
- The CMA will be responsible for managing phones, scheduling patients, rooming patients with EPIC, calling patients with benign results, scheduling radiology, pre-certification of radiology studies, interdepartmental communication, obtaining medical records, scanning medical records, reviewing medical history and medication history with patients, maintaining exam rooms, and assisting provider with ultrasound procedures.
- In collaboration with the Practice Manager, the Lead CMA will be responsible for scheduling, timekeeping and payroll management and will provide input for counseling as well as interviewing and orientation.
QualificationsEducation:
- High School Diploma required
- Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 1-2 years MA experience in Breast Surgery or a general surgery physician practice and Medical Assistant certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA required
- EPIC experiecne desired
