Provides education and supports end users in clinical documentation within the NextGen application. The Educator provides instruction and guidance for clinical staff specific to clinic practice and workflows. The educator demonstrates knowledge of best practice and use of technology to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The NextGen Educator maintains a close working relationship with the Information Technology team for reviewing updates to the electronic application, additional software, and provides instruction on updates to clinical employees and leadership.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for promoting the knowledge and application of the outpatient electronic medical record and associated technology.
Provides in-person instruction to new employees specific to outpatient and documentation system.
Supports clinical employees and training within the organization to achieve end user proficiency within NextGen platform.
Maintains thorough understanding of existing application capabilities and assists clinical employees with foundational knowledge of automated clinical reminders and rules, and best practice methods for documentation.
Works in conjunction with department manager, Information Technology, and clinical leadership to follow compliance with regulatory requirements and clinical best practice to customize workflows .
Remains current with new technology, software, hardware and instructional modalities through continuing education classes, seminars, conferences, professional journals and societies.
Demonstrate the ability to openly communicate with the various stakeholders throughout organization.
Responsible for coordinating new hire training for outpatient services.
Prioritizes employee requests for support throughout organization for promotion of continued knowledge and understanding of documentation platform.
Provides informal training to personnel as needed.
Supports clinical employees to ensure learning needs are coordinated effectively and timely.
Maintains a good working relationship with clinic leadership.

Current MT state nursing licensure preferred
Current clinical experience and knowledge of Benefis clinical applications is required.
