The Balancer for the Cash Management Team is responsible for making sure all cash receipts for the Charity market are posted timely and accurately, identifying any discrepancies or variances in the postings, and resolving the variances efficiently to ensure accurate data is presented for report generation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Overall responsible for timely and accurate reconciliation of lockbox postings, check/EFT postings, and journal entries from prior day.
* Quickly identify and resolve any discrepancy/variance in the payment postings.
* Maintain balancing spreadsheet for reconciliation and variance tracking purposes.
*Assists team members in analyzing accounts regarding payment distribution and/or adjustments.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
Experience:
One or more years' experience in a patient accounting or health insurance related area is preferred.
Education:
High School Diploma

If applicable, the individual performing this job may reasonably anticipate coming into contact with human blood and other potentially infectious materials. Individuals in this position are required to exercise universal precautions, use personal protective equipment and devices, and learn the policies concerning infection control.
