The Senior Business Development Partner works closely with the executive, administrative and operational leadership within Sanford in a variety of areas.
Develop and oversee a comprehensive business development strategy and roadmap in alignment with the vision and strategy of the organization. Lead business development initiatives and partnerships employing market research business and financial analysis in close collaboration with key stakeholders. Ensure business development and partnership priorities are tightly aligned to strategic, operational and innovation objectives and accretive to the overall success of the organization. Proactively identify needs and drive partnerships through the following stages: conception, research, partner selection, negotiation, contract, and relationship management and growth. Deliver a coherent, strategic partnership plan. Research and analyze new or evolving markets, leveraging strong quantitative analytical skills. Leads businesses development strategy with equal parts existing business maximization and new business growth opportunities. Bring experience and skillset to help manage transactions and lead implementations.
Construct models in support of new business growth and capabilities enhancement. Create, track and drive performance across a broad set of performance metrics that are in alignment with overall company success. Serve as point-person for business development and partnership activities to monitor progress and timelines, ensure inclusion of key stakeholders, and maintainexcellent communication.
Provide regular reviews of development plans with milestone metrics and progress tracking to leadership. Effectively and efficiently, provide leadership and vision in the improvement and development of existing and new programs. Implement and direct department promotional and retention strategies for new and existing programs.
Work with leadership to cultivate internal and external relationships that advance Sanford's innovation and growth goals. Ensure tight connection between business development functions and the rest of the enterprise, focusing on performance through integration and alignment. Work closely with stakeholders to ensure that people, processes and programs are aligned for success, realizing the full potential of new business and partnership opportunities.
Responsible for providing administrative leadership within the designated focus area across all aspects of business maintenance and growth. Manages the business development responsibilities related to, budget and finance, short and long-term planning, legal and regulatory compliance. Develop strong business cases and implementation plans to help create new strategic assets that are accretive to Sanford's portfolio.
Manages the business development budget and provides strategic planning leadership to business growth. Seeks appropriate marketing assistance to achieve objectives and goals.

Qualifications
Master’s of Science (MS) or Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) preferred. Will consider candidates with bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five years of relevant experience. Degree emphasis can include but is not limited to, business management, accounting, finance, healthcare administration or laboratory science.
Previous experience in sales, business development and/or customer service required.
Background in business development required, and a proven ability to build and execute strategies for reaching new customers.
