JOB DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of this role is to oversee and direct all activities related to IT Vendor Management as described, but not limited to, below. The primary goal of the role is to assist our company in ensuring IT vendors adhere to their contractual obligations to provide seamless operational support. This role operates in close collaboration with all IT leaders along with Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Finance and Legal functions.Manage vendor relationships and contracts:
- Lead the transition of newly signed managed services agreements from contracting to functioning steady-state operations.
- Oversee a formalized vendor management process designed to manage, maintain and monitor large IT contracts.
- Proactively monitor and manage vendor performance by performing routine service level agreement (SLA) monitoring to manage ongoing service delivery performance and ensure attainment of budgetary commitments.
- Oversee contract amendments, new task order processes and manage contractual disputes.
- Partner with budget owners and finance teams to proactively manage costs and accurately report financial results against major contract business cases.
- Ensure that new or changed contracts conform to enterprise standards and legal and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the relationship and identify necessary improvements.
Risk Management:- Identify and manage risk relating to vendors� ability to continually provide secure, efficient, and effective service delivery.
- Partner with Procurement to ensure adherence to corporate standards around spend requirements across the enterprise.
Qualifications:REQUIRED SKILLS:
Requirements include the following:
- Strong background in IT operations and understanding of industry leading IT managed services to recommend and oversee IT vendor management for large, matrixed organizations.
- Large-scale (+$100M) IT Contract Lifecycle Management experience with firsthand knowledge of industry standard commercial terms.
- Large-scale (>$300M) Vendor Relationship Management & Governance experience across multi-vendor landscape.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills a must to work with both internal team and externally with vendors.
- Must be independent and self-directed but able to work and lead a matrixed team of creative individuals; possess an inquisitive and creative mind.
- Superior research and analytical skills to track and predict trends.
- Strong financial acumen with in-depth IT budget/accounting experience.
- Ability to create and evaluate complex IT business cases.
- Ability to express complex technical ideas and solutions in business terms with passion and conviction.
- Bachelor�s degree or equivalent experience required. Master�s degree preferred, but not required.
- Healthcare and business operations preferred but not required.
