Position Summary:
The Quality Program Manager is responsible for the development and implementation the Quality and Performance Improvement Program for assigned services and locations. This includes partnering to develop, implement and organize the annual and multi-year plan to assure quality, patient safety, regulatory readiness, and meeting the specific standards for the setting(s) of care.Demonstrates foundational to proficient knowledge and application of performance improvement tools and techniques including ID-PDSA, accepted performance improvement methods, and High Reliability Organization (HRO) principles and practices. Role models principles, practices, and methods. Functional knowledge and skills of health data analytics. Proficient knowledge and skills in quality review, patient safety indicators and performance assessment and identification of patterns and trends. Foundational to proficient knowledge of electronical health record tools and documentation to assess and demonstrate quality and safety. Develops partnerships with operational partners and provides expertise for performance improvement, facilitation and developing sustainable solutions; this includes coordinating projects, and improvement activities as assigned and prioritized. Position requires ability to work independently, exercise judgement and timely escalation of sensitive and/or high-risk occurrences and to assigned Director. The QPM works as part of an assigned facility/business unit team and as part of the Quality Management System Team. The QPM assures that QM System standard, safety standards and best practices are implemented in the assigned areas to support high reliability, efficiency, and achievement of strategic goals. The QPM is flexible and able to adjust the percentage of time spent in assessment, review, PI, reporting, etc. will be determined by the specific needs of the assigned area.
Minimum Requirements:
Three to Five (3-5) years of experience in a professional or technical role/function in a healthcare or related setting as applicable to specialty
Three (3) years of experience in a quality, regulatory readiness, performance improvement or patient safety role
Competent in data use, analysis, reporting and PI Tools (PDSA, etc.)
Competent use of computerized information systems (email, MS Office including Excel, Epic, healthcare data and benchmarking systems, etc.) requiredEducation/Licenses/Certifications:
Bachelors degree required
Masters degree in health care field preferred
Quality or patient safety certification, such as CPHQ or CPPS, preferredPosition Type: Full-Time Regular
