Director of Clinical Operations for the Cancer Center
SUNY Upstate Medical University is currently seeking a Director of Clinical Operations for the Cancer Center to join the Cancer Center-Administration department. As a key member of the leadership team in the SUNY Upstate Cancer Center, this position leads the development, implementation, and growth of a strategic plan for clinical operational excellence that optimizes access, financial performance and stakeholder satisfaction. Working with the Cancer Center and Upstate University Hospital Leadership teams, the Clinical Operations Director will be responsible for setting and achieving operational goals through a contemporary, data-driven program. The Director will lead a program that supports a culture of continuous and sustainable quality improvement that delivers value for Cancer Center patients, staff, and physicians and Upstate University Hospital.
Qualifications: Masters degree in a relevant clinical, scientific or engineering discipline with at least 5 years of demonstrated career progression experience with increasing levels of responsibility with leading projects and/or teams required. Demonstrated professional experience in process improvement initiatives and relevant methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Strong analytical skills. Superior critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
