Position Summary:
The System Vice President for the Orthopedic Service Line reports directly to the System VP-Services Lines. This role covers both strategic and clinical development across the organization and oversees the performance standards of the service line; identifying opportunities for growth and improvement across the system; recommending and implementing system-wide solutions and serves as a subject-matter expert and collaborative support advisor to regional leaders, physicians, ancillary support services, and population health teams for clinical expertise, quality improvement, growth, expansion and service line integration and development.
The VP for Orthopedics is responsible for establishing the enterprise-wide key performance indicators sets system goals in Orthopedic services to support the growth and population health goals of the organization. This role also leads the development of enterprise-wide clinical pathways in partnership with the Physician Executive for System Service Lines and in collaboration with regional clinical leaders. The System VP for Orthopedics also has oversight over the strategic direction of Orthopedic services for MultiCare Health System (to include, orthopedics, sports medicine, podiatry, pre-operative joint program development, fracture management, back pain programs, community sports partnerships, registry development/management, applications and patient education programs.
This role will collaborate closely with Physician Executive for System Service Lines, AVP for ASCs, IBU leaders and Market Presidents, Regional Medical Directors, Population Health leaders, Quality, statewide partners in Orthopedics, Regional service line leaders, and will be team member to the System Service Line team of leaders. This role will also participate in state and national collaboratives, boards and clinical organizations representing MultiCare Health System. This position is responsible for presenting a high value analysis and interpretation of data to support system goals, performance indicators and has an understanding of program value and effectiveness. The successful candidate is adept with knowledge in comprehensive orthopedic services and therapies and has skills in service line structure management, data analysis, systems thinking and quality and clinical program development.Minimum Requirements:
Ten (10) years of experience in a managerial capacity to drive and achieve system performance metrics.
Consideration may be given to internal candidates not meeting the minimum qualificationsEducation/Licenses/Certifications:
Masters degree in a clinical discipline, hospital administration, public health, or business administration.Position Type: Full-Time Regular
