Nursing Professional Development Manager - Ambulatory Practice and Home Care
We seek a Nursing Professional Development Manager to provide leadership and strategic direction for caregiver development and education programs.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages nursing professional development personnel and programs.
Manages an optimal workforce environment through effective recruitment, onboarding, and appropriate role development based on scope of practice.
Manages relationships through promotion of effective team dynamics, a healthy work environment, respect for diversity, facilitation of professional development and situation management.
Formulates and effectively executes innovative leadership strategies to influence behaviors and promote excellence.
Role models exemplary professional practice in specialty of nursing professional development, including effective communication, to learners, peers, interprofessional team members and healthcare consumers.
Promotes change through fostering acceptance, adoption, and action towards sustained change.
Provides oversight for ongoing program development, implementation and evaluation related to nursing professional development.
Contributes to a coordinated department structure including request intake, delivery of services, maintenance of internal website information, reporting of services delivered and department meetings.Utilizes reflective practice to aid in identification of management priorities and effective delegation.
Coordinates educational activities across the health system in alignment with educational needs of caregivers, annual operating goals and/or service line initiatives, regulatory requirements, and competency standards.
Engages with interprofessional teams to provide educational support for performance improvement efforts.
Contributes to the forward movement of nursing professional practice through presentations, publications, participation in professional organizations, research, and translation of evidence into practice.
Maximizes organizational vitality through knowledge of health care finances, outcome tracking, efficient program delivery, budget planning and nursing excellence.
Assures compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
Specific program focus may include onboarding, orientation, nurse residency, academic partnerships, development, service line/system projects, caregiver competency, patient education, learning systems and/or other systemwide programs and services.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
MSN required. If Masters in other health related field, BSN required.
Professional nursing certification required upon hire.
Nursing Professional Development Certification required, or obtained within 2 years.
3 years appropriate clinical educational and leadership experience.
Experience in ambulatory practice or home care experience preferred.
BLS certification.
