We are hiring a Nurse Manager to lead our Ortho Neuro Trauma, Surgical Unit at our Newark, Delaware Campus.
We seek a Nurse Manager for Ortho Neuro Trauma Surgical Unit to provide 24-hour accountability and responsibility for excellence in the clinical and operation of nursing and the delivery of patient care.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Manages Nursing Practice and care delivery on unit.
Assures compliance with regulatory and professional standards. Identifies priorities of leadership and management responsibilities and demonstrates the ability to delegate.
Enables a relationship-based care approach to care delivery on assigned unit.
Identifies priorities of leadership and management responsibilities and demonstrates the ability to delegate.
Promotes the autonomy of the nursing staff, encouraging independent decision making and problem solving. Supports and facilities a culture of nursing professional governance.
Responsible for staffing, and scheduling, allocating paid time off to meet staffing needs for the team. Maintains position control in a cost-effective manner.
Interviews and hires potential employees, assuring the technical and professional development of staff. Coaches, disciplines and evaluates staff.
Responsible for the development and maintenance of the budget.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Completed BSN and Masters' Degree or Bachelors' Degree and Masters' of Science in Nursing
Professional Certificate n a related nursing specialty required. Nurse Executive Certification preferred.
Five years of appropriate clinical and leadership experience.
