You Will Be Responsible For:
The PI Consultant leads the organization in the promotion and execution of performance improvement projects that drive strategic, operational, and departmental opportunities. The PI Consultant typically is involved with the strategic planning and implementation of performance improvement projects. The PI Consultant uses the tools and methods appropriate to the project objectives and communicates any barriers to success to the appropriate parties. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
What You Will Need:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in a business discipline or healthcare-related field
3 years of healthcare experience
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Master’s degree in related field (e.g., MBA, MHA, MPH or MSN)
5-7 years of healthcare project management experience.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:
Certification in a quality improvement methodology/toolset such as Lean, Six Sigma, Change Management, IHI Model for Improvement, etc.
Current active State of Florida license as a Registered Nurse
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Above average analytical, problem solving, and customer service skills
Above average written and verbal communication skills
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS PREFERRED:
Exceptional planning, management, and organizational skills
Knowledge of PI/business process redesign concepts and tools such as lean and six sigma
Ability to coordinate complex projects independently
Knowledge of new trends in health care delivery and operational systems
Ability to translate customer concerns or needs into specific process requirements
Mastery of MS Office (including MS Project) and other office automation tools
Employs various approaches and tools to mobilize commitment and overcome resistance to change. Establishes rapport easily with others. Listens attentively to others perspectives. Works well with people at all levels in the organization. Utilizes verbal ability to analyze issues and effectively present ideas and views to various audiences of all levels. Keeps department leadership informed of project milestones, important events and any barriers/obstacles impacting project. Follows up after each completed project or request to ensure customer satisfaction.

Utilizes diplomacy skills and flexibility in response to clients’ changing concerns. Optimizes the use of time and resources to achieve desired results. Selects and applies proper PI tools for the project. Follows the DMAIC process to make decisions based upon available data, knowledge of the business and customer needs.
Develops and deploys plans to ensure project sustainability and/or continued progress towards goals. Follows up with project sponsor and operational owner to address any concerns with sustainability.
Transfers knowledge to people at all levels in the organization. Engages in assigned PI training opportunities.
Achieves stated training goals, demonstrates advanced understanding of project-specific concepts and continuously seeks out and shares best practices with team members and stakeholders.
