The Compliance Officerâ��s general duties and responsibilities encompass implementing Tenetâ��s systems, process and policies to ensure compliance with Federal healthcare program requirements and Tenetâ��s Quality, Compliance and Ethics Program Charter. The Compliance Officer will serve as a resource to the ACO, managed care, home office leadership and employees related to compliance requirements.
Significant responsibilities include:
Participate as a member of the ACO and managed care executive team to ensure compliance support is readily available for facility leaders.
Work in consultation with ACO and managed care senior leadership, operating reports, etc.
Provide compliance oversight and direction related to ACO, managed care, and home office initiatives.
Lead Compliance Committee meetings consistent with Charter and department standard operating procedure requirements.
Intake and coordination with Investigations Team related to investigation of compliance matters.
Prepare and deliver ACO and managed care training and education in response to areas of responsibility needs/requests, investigations of compliance matters, and identified risk areas.
Oversee facility auditing and monitoring activities, including quarterly referral source audits, and other compliance auditing activities as necessary.
Conduct annual compliance risk assessments as outlined in department standard operating procedures.
Coordinate response to ACO and managed care providers.
Coordinate with Tenet's Regional Counsel to facilitate communication between the Compliance and Ethics Department and Law Department on legal compliance matters.
Oversee the implementation of corrective actions and monitoring in response to identified issues and audits.
Work with home office leadership to drive compliance initiatives.
Act as a consultative resource on compliance and ethics matters.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Demonstrated knowledge of Federal healthcare program requirements.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to respond under pressure.
Strong communication, presentation and consensus building skills.
An energetic and results-oriented leader who inspires confidence and possesses high personal and professional integrity
Bachelorâ��s Degree, Masterâ��s Degree is preferred and 3-5 years of progressive experience in the health care industry with extensive experience with ACO and managed care (or equivalent experience.)
