The System Medical Director, Integrative Oncology will have clinical oversight of CHRISTUS Healthâ€™s oncology line throughout all ministries within CHRISTUS Health. The System Medical Director is responsible for ongoing development, growth, and oversight of Oncology programs within the CHRISTUS Health System. The System Medical Director will promote high standards of medical and radiation oncology practice through the development of policies, protocols, and practice guidelines, and will participate in rigorous performance improvement monitoring, staff education, clinical research, and analysis of financial performance.. The System Medical Director will be committed to providing high-quality, innovative, and evidence-based care to cancer patients hospitalized in CHRISTUS Health facilities and under the care of the many cancer centers across the system. The System Medical Director will assure operational objectives and results are aligned with the overall needs and strategic plan throughout the ministry. The System Medical Director will work with all regional leadership teams and in coordination with CHRISTUS Health in ongoing management of the regional strategic plans and will be accountable for consistently demonstrating the knowledge, skills, abilities and behaviors necessary to provide superior and culturally sensitive service to each other, to our patients, and to purchasers, contracted providers and vendors.

M.D./D.O. is required
5+ years of post-training experience practicing medical oncology or radiation oncology.
Minimum 5 years of management experience including 2 years managing leadership levels along with specific experience leading clinical quality and care management operations.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate multi-year leadership responsibility and delivery of successful metric in a growing, complex and successful ventures.
Leadership in oncology operations and/or cancer research operations with a track record of significant involvement in financial operations and business development
Understanding of the health care delivery environment a plus.
Demonstrated leadership and operational responsibility in a large/complex customer-oriented service and retail environment.
Ability to think strategically
Demonstrated skill in oral and written communications, reports preparation, business communications and policy and procedure development.
Demonstrated success in collaborating with other key providers and care givers. Understanding of physicians and physician environments a potential advantage.
Demonstrated experience or ability to assist in recruitment of physicians (both medical and or radiation oncology)
Demonstrated effectiveness in presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
Demonstrated excellent in customer service and customer satisfaction and the ability to maintain high Associate engagement and satisfaction.
Ability to successfully apply new learning to achieve expected outcomes

Demonstrated understanding of financial operations and ability to meet/exceed financial expectation on an ongoing basis.

Licenses, Registrations or Certifications:
State medical license.
Board certification in Medical Oncology through the American Board of Internal Medicine.
