You Will Be Responsible For
1. Policy Governance
1.1 Serves as administrator for local policy management software 1.2 Monitors and oversees timely policy updates, user support, training, communications, etc.
2. Patient Safety/Infection Prevention Program Support
2.1 Assists with monthly review and coding of Origami safety events to ensure the most appropriate event category, indicator and outcome assignments. 2.2 Provides data and reports for safety teams and projects as deemed necessary. 2.3 Assists with generates, disseminating, and tracking infection prevention data, including hand hygiene observations and surgical site infection monitoring. 2.4 Conducts audits as necessary to assess and meet Leapfrog Safety Survey measure compliance.
3. Quality Assessment/Performance Improvement Program Support
3.1 Provides data and reports for quality improvement teams and projects to facilitate improvement, as deemed appropriate. 3.2 Develops and prepares timely data reports for home department and other facility departments (i.e., Huddle Boards, LENS Board, NDNQI, etc.) 3.3 Acts as a data resource for department directors and data report owners as needed for QAPI/MRS data components.
4. Medical Staff Quality Monitoring Program Support
4.1 Generates reports and populates practitioner-related data from multiple databases in support of Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE) for all privileged practitioners. 4.2 Prepares and analyzes data sets (reports and graphs) for physician quality trending (peer review). 4.3 Audits Moderate Sedation privilege compliance.
5. General Responsibilities:
5.1 Supports organizational goals to use data for improvement. 5.2 Attends educational offerings as needed to gain knowledge about data structure and reporting functionality of all medical records and quality/safety-related databases, dashboards, and business intelligence tools for the extraction of key clinical data. 5.3 Prepares accurate reports for all areas of responsibility. 5.4 Utilizes statistical approaches, measurement techniques, and benchmark comparative data to develop quality reports 5.5 Assists in efforts to improve and streamline the process and workflow of the department 5.6 Promotes organizational compliance with hospital policies, Joint Commission standards, HFAP standards, and state and federal regulations through performance measurement activities. 5.7 Performs duties in a timely manner and provides updates if delays occur. 5.8 Demonstrates effective, courteous, and respectful communication skill with all team members, patients and families. 5.9 Maintains satisfactory participation and attendance at required and non-required meetings and staff development programs. 5.10 Demonstrates cooperation, teamwork, and cultural sensitivity when working with others. 5.11 Upholds the mission, vision, and values of the department and the organization. 5.12 Demonstrates the ability to set appropriate priorities. 5.13 Recognizes how absence impacts the functioning of the healthcare team and strives to minimize this effect.
What You Will Need
Active North Carolina RN license required
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing required
Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in a health care environment required
Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word proficiency required
Able to perform basic tadks for database management and reporting required.
Skilled in creating graps, tables and charts required.
Able to analyse data for statistical significance and produce presentations explaining the results required.
The Clinical Quality Analyst is responsible for the production of clinical data reports and analyses as required for performance improvement teams, clinical standards compliance, evidence-based teams and other clinical projects. The Clinical Quality Analylst assists with the maintenance of ongoing, routine, scheduled data reports and dashboards, participates in planning and data collection tools for clinical projects and effectively communicates relevant data reports and information to supervisors. The Clinical quality Anallyst will be able to navigate the medical record expertly and extract clinical information effectively. The Clinical Quality Anallyst will analyze data for statistical significance and produce reports independently. The Clinical Quality Analyst will provide administrative support as appropriate to meet the changing needs and requirements.
