Florida Health Care Association (FHCA), the oldest and largest advocacy organization for long term care providers in Florida, is seeking a dynamic, goal oriented individual to serve as the executive director for the Florida Center for Assisted Living (FCAL), which represents FHCA’s assisted living facility (ALF) members.
In this role, this individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive ALF member services program that includes ALF member recruitment and retention. The FCAL Executive Director will oversee the development of FCAL’s assisted living public policy, quality agenda and educational programming, and advocate for FCAL members before state officials, regulatory bodies and other stakeholders. The FCAL Executive Director will serve as the liaison to the Assisted Living Facility Vice President on the FHCA Board of Directors and support the committee activities for FCAL. This individual will also serve as a member of FHCA’s leadership team, report to the FHCA Chief Executive Officer and work with cross-departmental teams to support FCAL’s organizational goals.
Qualified candidates should have an extensive knowledge of the assisted living sector, with experience in government relations, legislative and regulatory processes and membership marketing and recruitment. The candidate should be able to travel, have excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with internal and external audiences.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in the areas of public policy, health care advocacy and association management focused in long term care and other health care areas.
