JOB SUMMARY:
- Serves as communications liaison and is responsible for raising awareness of programs and initiatives to internal and external audiences.
- Develops and manages a marketing and/or communications strategy for the Department of Medicine (DOM) and DOM Divisions in conjunction with department leadership.
- "Coordinates the development, implementation and maintenance of print and online content and provides technical direction in carrying out marketing plans."
- Serves as a project manager for strategic communication projects and campaigns.
Position Shift: Normal Daytime hours; Monday - Friday

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Department of Medicine (DOM) Newsletter
- Assessing program used for creating DOM newsletter and optimizing/changing as needed, i.e. Hubspot or Emma.
- Create and send newsletter monthly or more frequently if needed
- Building/maintaining constant contact lists for newsletter circulation
- Responsible for all DOM Social Media presence, including DOM Twitter
- Create and maintain a DOM Annual Report to be used for recruiting, marketing, etc.
- DOM Website design/presentation ideas
- Create and Design Presentations for Chair and other DOM Leadership (i.e. Annual State of the Department Address)
- Coordinate marketing and communication around DOM special events (i.e., DOM 100th anniversary, special lectureships, possibly division events etc.)
Stewardship Communications
- "Interface with Marketing, Patient Outreach, and the Patient Liaison programs"
- Ensure new providers have an appropriate profile developed by marketing
- Maintain alumni lists and communicate with the alumni office to promote alumni engagement
- Expand audience for conferences and seminars
- "Participate in launching new programs (clinical, research, or educational)"
- "Goals: To increase referrals/clinical trial enrollment, improve reputation scores, increase applications for positions (and quality of applications)"
