Job/Position Summary:

:

Quality/Risk Management Department Director interacts daily with the Directors and Leadership of the hospital to coordinate and oversee the Performance Improvement efforts, Risk Management/Patient Safety efforts, and regulatory compliance, including , TJC, CMS, and State of Tennessee. The Quality Director reviews, trends and reports all quality, risk, HIPAA security, and regulatory reports to the Chief Executive Officer.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Directs, monitors and evaluates the hospital-wide Risk Management and Patient Safety Program in compliance with federal, state, and corporate regulations. Integrates the Risk Management and Patient Safety Program with the hospital's primary functions.
• Directs and coordinates the hospital wide Quality Management Program and Process Improvement Program in compliance with federal, state, and corporate regulations. Integrates the Quality Management Program with the hospital's primary functions and strategic plan.
• Actively participates in the Education Program to promote staff knowledge, and understanding of risk management, loss prevention, and regulatory compliance issues, as well as performance improvement processes.
• Functions as the Hospital Compliance Officer by directing and coordinating the hospital -wide Compliance Program
• Oversees the Medical Staff functions of the Hospital.
• Oversees the Infection Control Program by ensuring appropriate prevention, monitoring and evaluation.
