UI Health is seeking to hire an Associate Chief Operating Officer, Imaging & Diagnostic Services. This position is responsible for directing operations and developing strategic plans for multiple large departments such as Radiology, Radiation Oncology, Cardiovascular Services, GI Lab, Short Stay Nursing Unit and other patient care services.Essential Responsibilities:
- Develop vision, goals, and strategic plans for large departments such as Radiology, Radiation Oncology, Cardiovascular Services, GI Lab, Short Stay Nursing Unit and other patient care services. Ensure alignment of these efforts with the goals and initiatives of UI Health.
- Direct the division level strategic planning process and develops and implements policies, procedures and objectives in support of and consistent with medical center goals and mission.
- Develop and implement continuous performance and quality operations that meet or exceed established benchmarks in patient experience and cost.
- Analyze customer complaints, concerns and suggestions and resolve appropriately or provide appropriate follow through.
- Direct the patient care operations and oversee departmental activities and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Partner with key medical directors to ensure the highest quality of care. Plan and develop patient safety innovations and practice improvement.
- Monitor market trends and Identify new business strategies and potential growth areas.
- Oversee the evaluation and acquisition of capital equipment. Authorize the purchase and implementation of new technology, resources and equipment.
- Oversee human resources management and development including recruitment, performance evaluations, disciplinary process and retention of staff.
- Plan, assign and review work of staff to ensure that group objectives are met. Hire, train, develop and manage staff to ensure that a qualified staff exists to meet group objectives.
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Requirements include:
- Master's degree in Health Care, business or a related field is required.
- A minimum of seven (7) years of experience as a director or administrator level in a hospital or healthcare setting required.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills required.
- Previous management experience in Imaging or Diagnostic Services is preferred.
- Strong communication, customer service and decision -making skills; knowledge of budgetary processes and financial principles; knowledge of labor laws, standards of care, and regulatory standards.
