VHPS Overview:
Launched in 2017, Vanderbilt Health Professional Solutions is a Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) fully-owned, for-profit subsidiary (LLC). VHPS manages and grows current companies spun out of the medical center, as well as incubates, supports and launches new commercial enterprises. VHPS provides direct client delivery work through consulting engagements for external health systems and within VUMC.
Job Description:
VHPS Complex Execution Senior Manager role is highly visible and focuses on relentless execution on strategic client engagements. The Senior Manager will report to the VHPS Executive Director Consulting Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to partner with customers/clients to implement commercial solutions and product/services onsite
- Successfully delivering multiple and/or complex projects with teams in one or more of our businesses
- Ensure meaningful value is created through a strong mix of best-practice project planning, business planning and relentless execution of key project initiatives
- Create and review project deliverables, ensuring all work is of the highest quality
- Present key project updates to VHPS leadership and customer stakeholders
- Utilize valuable project management business development skills, tools, templates, and frameworks
- Developing project plans and managing teams and people to meet milestones and deadlines
- Ability to complete deep analysis, data analysis, modeling, and present meaningful insights to clients
- Execute internal business initiatives working with VHPS businesses and VUMC
- Develop trusted, long-term relationships with VHPS team members, VUMC, VHPS businesses and customers
- Embody the VUMC's credo and strengthening the VUMC culture
Technical Skills:
- Demonstrated expertise in MS Office Suite of products, (i.e. Visio, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Project Management training and/or project lead experience of 8+ years
- Demonstrated proficiency in use of project planning tools (MS Project, Smartsheets, Portfolio / Program Management Software)
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of work experience, preferably in healthcare business, pharmacy, or management consulting / professional services
- Proven success delivering multiple large scale system, process, and business projects
- Running complex projects and managing teams
- Delivery experience driving business requirements, identifying gaps and omissions, and designing solutions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university
- Master's degree and/or professional certifications
- Demonstrated track record of executing large and complex initiatives for clients
- Ability to establish immediate credibility with team members within the company; can build consensus and achieve goals through influence
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
- Ability to create quality deliverables and presentations
- Creative thinking and ability to seek innovative solutions to complex technical/business problems
- Travel > 75%
