As the Director of Nursing you assume the authority, responsibility, and accountability for the delivery of clinical services. Build and maintain relationships with our elders, their families, and our staff.
Help develop a unified Interdisciplinary Team in a manner consistent with the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
Maintain and build a nursing team who provide person-directed care in coordination with the Interdisciplinary Team.
Direct and assist with the evaluation of the work performance of all nursing personnel, and provide coaching assistance as needed.
Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the nursing services, in accordance with current rules, regulations and guidelines that govern long-term care.
Collaborate with physicians and physician extenders to ensure medical services are delivered to residents in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines.
Be flexible - Often work above and beyond normal working hours
Able to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Must have excellent assessment, planning, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills with an understanding of person centered care.
Able to read, analyze and interpret, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations. Able to communicate orally, through written reports and other documents relating to resident, staff and others. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of executives, managers, clients, customers, and the public.
