Manager, Business Operations Perioperative Services

M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital is looking for our new Manager of Business and Operations in our Perioperative Services department!

This position will:

• Drive financial and operational performance for 23 operating rooms performing over 14,000 surgical cases per year
• Implement quality improvement and cost reduction projects aligned with system and site objectives
• Manage team of seven coordinators responsible for all perioperative billing and scheduling functions
• Coordinate surgery schedule including allocating block reservations and resolving resource and staff conflicts
• Collaborate in setting strategic plan and targets for perioperative services, departments, and staff
• Oversee operational and capital budget, identifying opportunities and investigating variance
• Assist clinical team in meeting Joint Commission accreditation standards
• Analyze clinical and operational data to support safe and high quality care and efficient throughput
• Support endoscopy team including oversight of referral concierge program and utilization
• Manage employee performance
• Create an environment for active and timely exchanges of information to ensure effective operations
• Ensure department compliance with standards and regulations which originate from accrediting bodies, state and federal agencies
• Demonstrate fiscal responsiveness
• Plan for and actualize goals and objectives for the department
• Coordinate and integrate services within the department with patient care services, with medical staff, customers and departments to provide continuity in the delivery of high quality care and services.
• Provide adequate and qualified staffing

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in management or related field
• 10 years work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters degree
• 10+ years work experience
