DetailsSalary:OpenDiscipline:ExecutiveThe Division of Neonatology in the Department of Pediatrics at Rush University Medical Center in downtown Chicago is seeking a full-time, experienced neonatologist to join our faculty and to serve as Medical Director for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Special consideration will be given to candidates with advanced clinical and leadership experience. The Renee Schine Crown NICU is a Level 3 (highest IL designation), 72 bed, single roomed state-of-the-art unit. We care for critically ill infants who are born at Rush and/or transferred in from network hospitals. Our patient mix ranges from extremely preterm infants to those with complex surgical needs cared for prenatally by our Fetal-Neonatal Center. Our NICU has a robust multidisciplinary Quality Improvement (QI) program led by a neonatologist with expertise and certification in QI. Our center has had consistent excellent outcomes in several major neonatal morbidities in very low birth weight infants within the Vermont Oxford Network.
The ideal candidate will be an established neonatologist with 7-15 years of experience and will have proven leadership skills. We are seeking a neonatologist who is interested in working with the QI Director and our NICU multidisciplinary team to strive for continuing improvement in clinical workflows and patient outcomes. Applicants should be Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine and qualified for a faculty appointment at the Associate Professor level or above in Rush Medical College.
