The Clinical Analytics Manager will oversee and support the daily operations of the Clinical Analytics (CA) team members ensuring accurate and timely submissions for all assigned projects and deliverables. Leading the CA team in the development and analysis of clinical data, the Clinical Analytics Manager will provide regular reporting to SWHP leadership outlining key successes, areas of opportunity, and data driven recommendations. This position will serve as a liaison with other SWHP departments consulting on data needs that will aid in the organization's decision making.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the daily operations of the department, ensuring staffing levels are appropriate to maintain workflows preventing backlogs.Prescribe a set performance standards and then guide, train and mentor staff to conduct analyses and evaluation work. Develop and implement policies and procedures to assure accurate high quality work processes.Oversee all projects ensuring successful and timely completion.Set up and performing analyses on large claims and administrative data sets, to look for patterns in the data using descriptive and multivariate statistics. Manage and develop analytical approaches to identify, measure and evaluate health outcomes. Assures compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations. Performs quality audits as needed.Annually evaluate the Clinical Analytic department and team making recommendations for improvement to the Director of QI & CA. Develops and maintain good interpersonal relationships with all person throughout the organization.Maintain professional relationships with external vendor(s) as applicable
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
Master's degree preferred in a health science, computer science, business or health administration, or health information management. Preferred experience with SQL Programming and Data Analytics requiredEnergetic, hands-on leader with excellent oral and written communication skills, who also works well with staff and external customers.Ability to effectively collaborate with others and establish working relationships, communicate effectively across the organization, think and act strategically, and influence key leaders.Preferred experience operating in a Lean Management System preferredWorking knowledge of HEDIS measures, predictive modeling, data mining, data analytic best practices, and SQL programming. Possess strong organizational skills, customer/client focused, self-motivated, and engaging with strong leadership skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. 3+ years of leadership or management experience.
