In this leadership role, you will be accountable for the medical-administrative and medico-legal aspects of the Medical Staff organization. The Manager, Medical Staff Services will be the essential link between senior management and the Medical Staff to promote and enhance good communications and a positive working relationship. Responsibilities include:
Establishing, contributing, and maintaining continuity in the planning, development and implementation of standards applicable to Medical Staff members relating to credentialing, quality, and administrative functions.
Responsible for facility-wide preparation, organization, and follow-up involved maintaining hospital accreditation and licensure with the TJC, CMS and DHEC. Acts as the key point of contact.

Bachelor's Degree in business administration, health services or related field with at least of 5 years’ experience in medical staff services, supervisory experience preferred.
One of the following certifications is required at time of hire: Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional in Medical Services Management (CPMSM). Both certifications are required within 3 years of employment.
CHSP certification required or must be obtained within 12 months of hiring.
Knowledge of medico-legal issues and laws, regulatory agency requirements and standards. Strong interpersonal and management skills.
Position further requires independent problem solving and decision-making abilities; flexibility, perseverance and fortitude.
