The Risk Manager’s overall responsibility is for the risk management activities of Reading Hospital and Tower Health's associated entities. Risk Manager’s responsibility includes, but is not limited to, managing and overseeing the malpractice insurance program and reporting to the Medical Care Availability and Reduction of Error Fund ("Mcare"), claims management, including, significant interaction and confidential communication with legal counsel, managing and analyzing risk management and incident reporting strategies and data, and providing risk management educational programs. Risk Manager also designs and implements programs to control company losses and to transfer and/or finance risk protocols that will minimize the adverse financial impact to the organization.
4 year Bachelor's Degree or combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's Degree.
Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) designation or eligibility for exam preferred.
Experience in corporate general liability and malpractice insurance, and other lines of insurance preferred.
Experience in healthcare risk management and management of medical malpractice litigation preferred.
