The IT Associate’s role is to provide response and resolution for our first- and second-level technical support requests from staff. This position is responsible for installation, configuration, operation, inventory, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and IT-related services. This position will be responsible for supporting audio-visual systems, conference room technology, and technology needs for in-person meetings.
This position will work closely with the Senior Technical Support Specialist and the Vice President of IT to establish and maintain helpdesk procedures. In addition, this position will assist in website and SharePoint tasks as assigned.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide first- and second-level day-to-day technical support to end-users, including software/hardware troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance.
Install, configure, and manage Microsoft Office 2016 programs and systems.
Create and maintain network documentation.
Set up equipment for employee use, and connect local and network computers and printers.
Research and stay informed on current technologies.
Provide support for the following:
Web posting and associated quality assurance on Ektron CMS platform
SharePoint posting and configuration changes on existing SP2010 environment
SharePoint administration, posting, and configuration on new SharePoint Online environment.
Cloud VoIP and audio-visual configuration/support
MS 365 administration, including MS Teams and PowerShell
Participate in special projects and other duties as required.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, MCP and A+ certification a plus
One year of desktop support experience, including troubleshooting
Basic knowledge of network administration systems (Active Directory, Group policy, DNS)
Skills in diagnosing, support, and resolution of desktop hardware, software, and operating system issues
A working knowledge and understanding of computer hardware; peripherals (CD drives, monitors, printers, scanners, etc.); Windows operating system; Microsoft Office; and other Windows software applications
Must be able to handle multiple projects in a deadline-oriented environment and be detail oriented
Excellent problem solving skills
Self-motivated and able to work on projects independently, as well as with a team
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent listening and troubleshooting skills
