JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for producing high-quality photography to document VUMC events including news, athletic, and various public events as well as receptions, dinner, and other official social events.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Perform custom and specialized photography using a variety of still cameras and other photographic equipment
- Assist clients with photographic needs to include identifying and defining needs and recommending photographic techniques and approaches
- Determines camera setting, lighting requirements and other specifications to ensure quality shooting
- Effectively file and distribute photo images to appropriate clients.
- Follow all image metadata, file-naming, and transmission protocols
- Maintain photographic equipment
- Store and manage equipment securely and in a budget conscious manner
- Ensure equipment is in good working order as necessary
- Continually seek to improve quality and service
- Support director of photography in communicating the role of the photography department to university and medical center clients
- Form and maintain relationships with personnel across the medical center
- Effectively and regularly communicate with superiors, keeping them informed of changes, problems, and concerns related to assignments
- Network with industry to stay abreast of new products, technologies, and trends.
