The Director of Infection Prevention will:
Report to the Chief, Quality and Safety Officer and provide Infection Prevention guidance and support to MGUH leaders, more than 4000 associates and upwards of 1000 physicians;
Manage, mentor and direct the operational, personnel and financial activities of the Infection Prevention department;
Be part of the implementation of system programs at the entity level, working with leaders systemwide to ensure alignment of policies, processes, best practices and the uniform delivery of exceptional quality service; and,
Join MGUH leaders, associates and clinicians in embracing the MGUH culture of ‘Cura Personalis’ - caring for the whole person, finding opportunities each day to create a professional, safe and supportive environment for patients, families and each other.
The successful candidate will bring:
A high level of professionalism, exceptional communication and organizational skills;
10-years of experience in infection prevention inclusive of 7-years leadership experience;
Deep knowledge of regulatory standards and laws;
A Nursing Degree along with a Masters Degree in a health care related field; and,
Certification by National Certification Board, CIC, is required. Fellowship in APIC preferred. Experience in hospital epidemiology preferred.
