DetailsSalary:OpenDiscipline:ExecutiveWe are recruiting for a Division Vice President, Finance and Controller to join our Kindred Rehabilitation Services Division in Louisville, Kentucky.Summary:The DVP, Finance and Controller will provide leadership of the Accounting functions for the Kindred Rehabilitation Services Division with annual revenue of over $1.5 Billion.The DVP, Finance and Controller must be an experienced financial leader who is able to implement effective financial policies and processes, controls and reporting systems; effectively manage the internal and external audit process and ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.The DVP, Finance and Controller will report directly to the KRS Chief Financial Officer and lead accounting team supporting the three business lines in the division: Rehabcare, a $1 Billion contract therapy services provider; Kindred Hospital Rehabilitation Services, an inpatient, outpatient, and long-term acute care hospital rehabilitation company; and our growing Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility business. The DVP, Finance and Controller will also serve as a key strategic business partner to the KRS President and Executive team. S/he will establish a positive working relationship with the business leadership teams based on strong financial and business acumen, knowledge of the Rehabilitation business, strategy and performance, overseeing the KRS Division's planning, budgeting and forecasting processes.Essential Functions:- Participate as a key member of the senior leadership team, actively involved in analyzing, forecasting, and budgeting for all major strategic initiatives, operations, and financial reporting issues.
- Provide advice and counsel on financial matters, including strategies and solutions. Drive decisions throughout the organization using key performance indicator reports, metrics and analysis compiled by working closely with Operations.
- Directs the annual budget process to ensure appropriate budgets are developed, produced, and maintained. Report progress toward approved objectives.
- Consolidate the KRS division periodic forecast, including input and operational context from line of business Financial and Operational leaders.
- Lead and/or significantly contribute to all Executive presentations reporting performance of the KRS division, including Quarterly Operations Reviews, budget presentations, and Board of Directors annual updates
- Partner with Revenue Cycle leadership in evaluating and accurately reflecting status and collectability of Accounts Receivable on division balance sheet
- Ensure a financially-disciplined and systematic financial reporting and long-term planning process including providing periodic estimates and long-range financial and operational forecasts for the Division.
- Oversee the division's financial and operating control function including all aspects of profit center accounting and control, cost and operation analysis, and administrative systems and procedures in adherence with prescribed Corporate and Division policies. Recommends changes in policies and procedures as appropriate. Ensure the integrity of all financial and regulatory reporting, controls, processes and systems.
- Directs the month quarter, and year-end accounting close processes to maintain integrity of the Division's financial statements.
- Oversees the production of month-end financial reporting packages for Division and Support Center senior management to use in analyzing monthly operations.
- Coordinates the annual incentive compensation and merit increase programs with Support Center staff to ensure effective implementation, compliance, and timely and accurate payment.
- Coordinate with both internal and external auditors and provide appropriate information to assure complete and beneficial reviews and compliance with SOX.
- Select, develop, lead, and mentor a high performance accounting and finance team, providing necessary training and development as part of continued career advancement within the organization. Ensure appropriate monitoring and analysis of Division's financial position.
- Formulate, recommend, and implement policies and programs that enable the Division to recognize economic opportunities and realize maximum benefits from such opportunities.
- Develop internal and external presentations related to financial position and performance of major business initiatives.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:- Expert accounting and financial skills.

- Exceptionally good organization skills, judgment and business instincts.
- Knowledge of business law, payor contracting, and information systems.
- Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Focused thinker with superior analytical skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data.
#MON-CORP- Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance is required.
- MBA/CPA preferred.
- 15+ years of experience including at least 5 years in a senior financial management role.
